C-FIND

Study-Level Queries

Send standard C-FIND requests to any configured remote PACS or Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA). Quickly filter results by Patient Name, ID, Accession Number, Modality, or Study Date.

How to use it Verify that your new VNA configuration correctly indexes Patient IDs and successfully responds to external C-FIND queries.
C-MOVE

Study Retrieval

Once you locate a study via C-FIND, initiate a C-MOVE request to instruct the remote PACS to send the study directly to your local AE title for testing or viewing.

How to use it Pull down prior studies from an archive to use as realistic baseline data before simulating a new Modality Worklist acquisition.

PHI & PID Safety

Remember that when querying production PACS environments, the returned DICOM tags contain live Protected Health Information (PHI) and Patient Identifiable Data (PID). Handle carefully in accordance with HIPAA and GDPR regulations.
